Westminster College will host Daniel Sepulveda, punter for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Thursday, Jan. 27, at 8 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The program is free and open to the public.
Sepulveda, who was drafted by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL draft, will share his faith and his experiences with the professional football organization.
A graduate of Baylor University, Sepulveda was one of the most consistent punters in college football annals, earning the distinction of being the first two-time winner of the Ray Guy Award for the top college punter in the nation and one of only 13 players in NCAA Division I history to earn a major national award twice.
During his inaugural year with the Steelers, he punted in all 16 games and the AFC Wild Card game; was named to the Pro Football Weekly/PFWA All-Rookie Team; and earned the Joe Greene Great Performance Award as the Steelers' rookie of the year. He has battled injuries in two of the past three seasons.
The event is sponsored by Westminster's Office of the Chaplain and Church Relations and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
