Westminster College's Celebrity Series will close its 2009-2010 season with ABBAMania & Stayin' Alive Saturday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.
The show, sponsored by Jameson Health System, is a tribute to the music of ABBA and the Bee Gees.
ABBAMania will perform 21 of the group's hits, complete with costume changes and choreography. Selections to be performed will be chosen from a list that includes "Mama Mia," "Waterloo," "Take a Chance," and "Dancing Queen." The Canadian group has performed throughout Canada, the U.S., and internationally, having recently completed a Malaysian tour.
Stayin' Alive, also from Canada, recreates the close harmonies of Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. More than 20 of the Bee Gees' greatest hits will be performed, chosen from a list that includes "Stayin' Alive," "Massachusetts," "How Deep is Your Love," "Lonely Days," and "Jive Talking."
A limited number of balcony seats are available.
