Betsy Nolan Sieg, a 2007 Westminster College graduate and purchasing manager for Metro Bank, earned Westminster's 2009 Outstanding and Dedicated AV Media Support Services Award.

Sieg, a business administration major, worked in Westminster's AV Services Department from 2004-2007. She was honored with the department's annual award for exceptional work on campus two consecutive years.

"Betsy was consistently recognized for her organized, efficient, and competent approach to her work, as well as her rapport with people of all ages when she was in our department," said Gary Swanson, Westminster director of AV services. "It comes as no surprise that she continues to shine professionally. We're very pleased she was selected for this award."

Sieg received two promotions since joining Metro Bank in 2007 and coordinated the successful transition from Commerce Bank to the new Metro Bank brand name.

"Betsy's commitment to quality, dedication, and organizational skills were extraordinary in our very successful rebranding effort," said Julie Wilson, Sieg's supervisor at Metro Bank. "She is a wonderful person with sound decision-making skills, and her coordination efforts made the transition move like clockwork."

"Westminster taught me that you have to work for what you want and great things don't come easily," Sieg said. "My time in the AV office taught me how to handle various situations that truly help me in my current position. Thanks to my family, who has supported me in every step of my life."

Sieg and her husband, William "BJ" Sieg '06, and son, Will, reside in Mechanicsburg.

The award is open to all qualifying Westminster alumni and is an annual presentation that coincides with International Audio Visual Week. Previous honorees include 2007 winner Mark Slezak '87, an elementary teacher from Hermitage, and 2008's Denny Wolfe '97, an Emmy Award-winning ESPN producer.
