Peace Studies Program to Host "Invisible Children"

Westminster College's Peace Studies program will host the national tour of Invisible Children Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Witherspoon Rooms of the McKelvey Campus Center. The event is free and open to the public.

In 2003, three young Americans traveled to Africa in search of a story that could change the world. What they found was a tragedy involving the children of northern Uganda and the effects of a 20-year war on those children.

Invisible Children, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 and dedicated to providing financial resources for those children by documenting their true and untold stories in a creative and relevant way, resulting in positive change.

Contact Dr. Sherri Pataki, Westminster assistant professor of psychology and coordinator of the Peace Studies program, at (724) 946-7361 or e-mail patakisp@westminster.edu for additional information. Visit www.invisiblechildren.com for additional information about the organization.
