Westminster Crowns Homecoming King and Queen

Matthew Monahan and Katelynn Gray were crowned Westminster College Homecoming king and queen during the halftime festivities Oct. 10.

Monahan, a junior communication studies major, is a son of Mark and Sharon Monahan of Pittsburgh and a graduate of Brentwood High School. The Alpha Sigma Phi candidate is rush chair, co-coordinator of Fright Nights, and entertainment chair for Relay for Life in his fraternity. He is involved in Fresh Start, Colleges against Cancer, Student Westminster Admissions Team, Theatre Westminster, Habitat for Humanity, and is the announcer for Titan swimming.

Gray, a junior elementary education major, is a daughter of Charles and Roberta Gray of Cheswick and a graduate of Deer Lakes High School. The Phi Mu candidate is vice president of her sorority, athletic trainer for the football team, resident assistant, Student Government Association senator, and a member of Habitat for Humanity, Chapel Staff, Campus Programming Council, Gospel Choir, Student Alumni Association, and SADD.

Winning the top spot in the "TV Land" Homecoming parade was Kappa Delta's "The Brady Bunch." Alpha Gamma Delta's "Gilligan's Island" placed second; Zeta Tau Alpha's "I Dream of Jeannie" took third place; and Sigma Kappa's "Happy Days" was the fourth place entry.
