Dr. Kristin Park, Westminster College associate professor of sociology, is quoted extensively as a researcher and appears as a research subject in the recently published Two is Enough: A Couple's Guide to Living Childless by Choice by writer and filmmaker Laura S. Scott.
Park's scholarship on the subject was published in the journals Sociological Perspectives and Sociological Inquiry. Scott interviewed Park about her scholarship on motivations for and stigma attached to voluntary childlessness. Park also advised Scott on construction of an interview guide and questionnaire for the project.
The documentary film of the project is in post-production.
Park, who has been with Westminster since 1993, earned an undergraduate degree from Colgate University and master's certificate in Latin American Studies, master's, and Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
