The Westminster College Concert Choir will present its ninth annual "Music and Meatballs" Friday, Oct. 2, at the New Wilmington Presbyterian Church. Patrons may choose from three seating times: 4:30 p.m., 5:45 p.m., and 7 p.m.
This year's musical and decoration theme is "All That Jazz." Dinner includes spaghetti and meatball, salad, bread, dessert, hot and cold beverages, and a variety of vocal jazz selections performed by members of the choir and accompanied by Christopher Granger.
"Forty-three Westminster students participate in this fundraiser that helps to support the choir's winter tour," said Dr. Robin Lind, Westminster director of choral activities.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for seniors, students, and children. Reservations are encouraged and can be made by calling (724) 946-7270. Tickets will be available on the first floor of the McKelvey Campus Center the week prior to the event. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door and take-outs will also be available. A gift basket raffle will be held at each seating.
The 2010 tour is Jan. 7-14 and includes concerts in Erie, Harrisburg, and Levittown; Toms River, N.J.; New York City and Amherst, N.Y.
