Westminster College's Office of Diversity Services will host Pittsburgh-area salsa dancers Jeff and Colleen Shirey for an evening of instruction and dance Thursday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. in Berlin Lounge and Club Room of the McKelvey Campus Center.
Dance lessons will be held from 7-8 p.m., followed by a Latino Dance Party from 8-10 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The Shireys teach, choreograph, and perform salsa and merengue throughout western Pennsylvania. They co-host the "Let's Dance Salsa" instructional film series using an innovative instructional method that uses the beat of salsa rather than the more traditional counting steps method used by other instructors.
