Director of Bands to Have Multiple Responsibilities at State Conference

Dr. R. Tad Greig, Westminster College assistant professor of music and director of bands, will participate in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) state conference April 22-25 in Valley Forge.

In a ceremony scheduled for Thursday, Greig will be sworn in as president of Nu Chapter, the state chapter of Phi Beta Mu, the national band masters fraternity.

Thursday afternoon, Greig will address educators and students on performance adjudication and its merits, and offer an educational perspective on how to prepare.

The Westminster College Wind Ensemble was selected by audition to be guest performers for the conference for the second time in five years. Greig will conduct the group in a concert scheduled for Friday.

Greig, who has been with Westminster since 1995, earned an undergraduate degree from Grove City College, master's from Youngstown State University, and Ph.D. from Kent State University.
