Concert Choir to Tour North Carolina and Florida

Westminster College's Concert Choir will sing at a variety of locations in North Carolina and Florida on their annual tour, Jan. 7-17, 2009.

Under the direction of Dr. Robin Lind, Westminster director of choral activities, the group of 45 students is scheduled to begin the trip with a 7:30 p.m. concert Wednesday, Jan. 7, at First Presbyterian Church in Mooreseville, N.C.

Arriving in Florida, the choir is scheduled to present concerts at: First Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville (Jan. 8); First Presbyterian Church, Vero Beach (Jan. 9); First Presbyterian Church, St. Petersburg (Jan. 11); First Presbyterian Church, Lakeland (Jan. 12); Berkeley Preparatory School and Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church, Tampa (Jan. 13); and Church of the Palms, Sarasota (Jan. 14).

The group will enjoy two days at Disney World in Orlando before returning to campus.

In addition to Lind, Westminster staff traveling with the choir are the Rev. James Mohr II, chaplain, and Beth Brooks, executive secretary in the Student Affairs Office.

Westminster President Dr. Richard Dorman and his wife, Beverly, Vice President for Institutional Advancement Gloria Cagigas, and Assistant Director of Alumni Relations Cindy Dafler will attend many of the concerts and meet with alumni.
