Dr. Peter Smith, Westminster associate professor of chemistry, was elected to a two-year term as treasurer of the American Chemical Society (ACS) Division of Professional Relations.
Smith, who has been a member of ACS for 11 years, will be responsible for tracking and reporting finances.
Smith has been with Westminster since 2002. He earned an undergraduate degree and Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee.
