Westminster College to Present Piano Showcase Recital

Westminster College piano students from the studio of Dr. Nancy Zipay DeSalvo, Westminster associate professor and chair of the Department of Music, will present their annual showcase recital Wednesday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

This year's event features many standard pieces in the piano duo and piano duet repertoire from composers including Brahms, Debussy, Saint Saens, Milhaud, Haydn, and Bizet.

Students participating are:

Sheila Barnhart, a senior music performance major, is a daughter of Rick and Darleene Barnhart of New Freeport and a graduate of West Greene High School.

Alayna Carroll, a freshman music and business administration major, is a granddaughter of Norman and Virginia Carroll of Butler and a graduate of Butler Area High School.

Susan Davidson, a sophomore music education major, is a daughter of Christopher and Lori Davidson of Renfrew and a graduate of Butler Area High School.

Stephanie Finnegan, a sophomore fine art major, is a daughter of Thomas and Karen Finnegan of Mercer and a graduate of Mercer Area High School.

Amanda Gentzel, a junior sacred music and computer science major, is a daughter of David and Margaret Gentzel of Wexford and a graduate of Pine-Richland High School.

Christopher Granger, a junior music education major, is a son of Jon and Janet Granger of Warren and a graduate of Youngsville High School.

Amy Martin, a sophomore music education major, is a daughter of John and Bonnie Martin of Ambridge and a graduate of Ambridge Area High School.

Ashley Patterson, a freshman elementary education major, is a daughter of Randall and Terri Patterson of Mercer and a graduate of Grove City Area High School.

Emilie Stuart, a freshman sacred music major, is a daughter of Jerome and Sandra Stuart of Carlisle and a graduate of Carlisle High School.
