Douglas Rab, a Westminster College senior music major, will present his senior capstone recital Sunday, April 20, at 4 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.
Rab's tenor program includes selections from traditional art song repertoire; arias from operas by Bononcini, Verdi, and Korngold; and songs from classical and contemporary musical theatre.
Rab is a son of Bruce and Nancy Rab of Bath Township, Ohio, and a graduate of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy.
While at Westminster, Rab appeared in several Opera Westminster productions, including Magically Mozart; L'Amour, L'Amour, L'Amour; and sang the role of Ottokar in Johann Strauss' The Gypsy Baron. He was cast as Benny Southstreet in Theatre Westminster's Guys and Dolls, and as Dale Harding in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Rab played cello in Westminster's Orchestra.
Jeffrey Wachter, Westminster College adjunct music faculty, will accompany Rab.
