Westminster College senior English majors will be honored at the final Bleasby Colloquium of the academic year Thursday, April 17, at 7 p.m. in the Witherspoon Maple Room of the McKelvey Campus Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Several of the 19 students will read from their capstone projects, which is the final component of the Liberal Studies curriculum at Westminster. The capstone is a course within the major designed to provide an opportunity for students to evaluate and assess the strengths and limitations of their major field.

This colloquium is part of the George Bleasby Colloquia, a series of literary events presented by Westminster's Department of English and Public Relations in honor of the late Dr. Bleasby, who chaired the Department of English at Westminster from 1954-75.

Contact Dr. Ross Wastvedt, Westminster College associate professor and chair of the Department of English and Public Relations, at (724) 946-7352 or e-mail rwastvdt@westminster.edu for additional information.
