Bethany Morse, a Westminster College senior music education major, and Zachary Sartori, a senior music major, will present a recital Saturday, April 12, at 4:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.
Morse's French horn program includes "Romance for Horn and Orchestra in F major, Op. 36" by Camille Saint-Saens; "Nocturno Op. 7" by Franz Strauss; and "Sonata for Horn in F and Piano" by Paul Hindemith.
Morse, a graduate of Grove City Area High School, is a daughter of Steve and Lynne Morse of Rochester.
She participated in Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Orchestra, Horn Ensemble, and the Student Brass Quintet. Morse is a member of PCMEA and Phi Mu Epsilon, Westminster's professional music fraternity.
Sartori's trombone program includes Arthur Pryor's "Annie Laurie," the first movement of Launy Gröndahl's "Concerto Pour Trombone et Piano ou Orchestra;" "Concerto for Trombone or Trumpet and Band" by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov; and the third movement of Kazimierz Serocki's "Sonata für Posaune und Klavier."
Sartori, a graduate of Sharpsville High School, is a son of Maria and John Ackley of Cranberry Township and Roy and Christine Sartori of Sharpsville.
At Westminster, Sartori was involved in Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, Student Brass Quintet, Marching Band, and Orchestra.
The recital will conclude with John Cheetham's "Scherzo," performed by the Student Brass Quintet.
Kathryn Miller, Westminster College adjunct music faculty and College organist, will accompany both Morse and Sartori.
