Nine Westminster College senior broadcast communications majors will give their capstone presentations over the next month.

Clarissa Hunter will present "Living LIVE Television: Caught Between Producing and Directing" Thursday, April 10, at 5 p.m. in the Westminster Cable Network television studio.

"My capstone gives viewers an opportunity to check out the station, ask questions, and see what I do for my major (produce and direct)," Hunter said. "I will have a video showing my producing skills and I will direct the news live that evening."

Pamela Marlowe and Jill Carle will present a "double feature" Wednesday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center.

"'The Future of the Field: Television Reporting' will cover the changing profession of television journalism in relation to the accessibility and impact of the Internet," Marlowe said. "The core of my presentation will showcase my work and skills I have acquired throughout my time at Westminster. I will apply the new and evolving TV reporting concepts into the presentation."

"My project is 'Selling Myself...It's Not What You Think' because I am entering the field of broadcast sales and advertising," Carle explained. "When you go out for an interview for a sales position, the first piece of advice you're given is to 'sell yourself,' hence the title. My project focuses on my work as a sales representative for Titan Radio, the Westminster Cable Network (WCN), and the Holcad [student newspaper], and my role as promotions director at Titan Radio. The presentation will include examples of my work in Photoshop and graphics for WCN."

Terese Marszalek and Josh Anderson will premier their films Friday, April 25, at 8:30 p.m. in Patterson Hall 131 during the Senior Art Show. Marszalek produced and directed the documentary "A Look at Leukemia: Jeff's Story." Anderson's film is "Lovestruck - Love Never Said So Little."

Also on the schedule for Friday, April 25, are Timothy "TJ" Renninger and David Greig. Renninger's "Not So Extreme Makeover: Titantown Sports" and Greig's "Seven Must-Dos for a TV Sports Résumé Tape" will be on display in the Art Gallery in Patterson Hall. Both students will be available from 6-8:30 p.m. to answer questions.

Christopher Norris will present "Big League Broadcasting" Tuesday, April 29, in the Club Room of the McKelvey Campus Center. A reception at 6:30 p.m. will be followed by a formal presentation at 7:05 p.m.

"My project showcases the skills I obtained during my in-game entertainment internship with the Cleveland Indians," Norris said. "I will play a short video I produced that is designed to entertain thousands of fans at Progressive Field. It is jam-packed with the best highlights, exciting editing, music, and special effects that are sure to entertain more than just baseball fans."

Danielle Adams produced "Welcome to New Wilmington: Promoting a Local Community with Online Video Storytelling" for the New Wilmington Area Chamber of Commerce Web site. She will make a formal presentation at the Chamber meeting Friday, May 2, at Shenango on the Green.
