Celebrity Series Presents the Lowe Family

Posted on Thursday, February 28, 2008

Westminster College's Celebrity Series will welcome the Lowe Family Saturday, March 15, for an 8 p.m. concert in Orr Auditorium.

Versatile on many instruments, the nine family members-mother, father, son, and six daughters-have been entertaining around the world for over 25 years. They offer a blend of classical, Broadway, Irish, jazz, bluegrass, old-time favorites, and gospel music and dance that culminates in a stirring patriotic tribute.

The Lowes have appeared with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir; have been featured as special guests during the Olympics and on China's internationally televised New Year's celebration; and are the most attended show in Branson, Mo.

Johnnie Wolfe, Cincinnati Post writer, said, "The musical capabilities of the entire family are astounding. They have honed their skills so that they can perform any type of music-and do it with exceptional skill."

Good seats are still available. Contact Connie McGinnis, assistant director of the Celebrity Series, at (724) 946-7354 or e-mail mcginncl@westminster.edu for tickets or visit www.westminster.edu/Celebrity for additional information.
