Michael Mullin, a senior Christian education and music major, will present his senior percussion capstone recital Saturday, March 8, at 3 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Mullin, a graduate of North Allegheny High School, is a son of John and Patricia Mullin of Wexford. He is a member of the Westminster Jazz Ensemble and the worship band at Seekers, a Christian fellowship of worship, music, and discussion.

Mullin is from the Percussion Studio of Perry Gatch, Westminster College percussion instructor.

The recital includes pieces by contemporary percussion composers performed on timpani, snare drum, drum set, multi-percussion, and marimba. Selections include "March," a timpani solo by Elliott Carter, and "Technica 9," a snare drum solo by Guy Gauthreaux II. Clarinetist Nadia Buzzelli, a 2006 Westminster College alumna, will be featured on "Rhythm Suite," a clarinet-marimba duet by Jeffrey Agrell.
