Kevin Shields and Ashley Carnahan were crowned Westminster College Homecoming king and queen during the halftime festivities Sept. 29.
Shields, a junior music education major, is a son of Dana and Teresa Shields of Eldred, and a graduate of Otto-Eldred High School. At Westminster he is involved in numerous organizations including track and field, wind ensemble, concert choir, Fresh Start, men's choir, and field commander of the Titan Marching Band.
Carnahan, a junior business administration major, is a daughter of Nick and Barbara Sedunov of Greensburg and Dale and Beth Carnahan of North Huntingdon. She is a graduate of Greensburg-Salem High School. At Westminster she is involved in many organizations including the Student Government Association, Student Alumni Association, Students in Free Enterprise, Campus Programming Council, and Lambda Sigma honor society.
Winning the top spot in the "board games" Homecoming parade was Alpha Gamma Delta's "Candyland." Phi Mu's "Operation" placed second; Alpha Sigma Phi's "Battleship" took third place; and Kappa Delta's "Clue" was the fourth place float.
