The Westminster College Celebrity Series opens its 40th anniversary season with Wayne Newton, Thursday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.
Newton's name has become synonymous with Las Vegas, where he has been the number one attraction for over a decade. He has won Entertainer of the Year honors more than any other performer and set a record as the highest-paid club performer in Vegas history.
Newton brings a mix of pop, rhythm and blues, ballads, country, and rock music. In addition to vocals, he performs solo selections on many instruments and has perfect comedic timing.
