The Westminster College Faculty Woodwind Quintet will perform Tuesday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the Berlin Lounge of the McKelvey Campus Center. The concert is free and open to the public.

The quintet includes flutist Brianne Sharkey, oboist Shawn Reynolds, clarinetist Louis Colella, bassoonist Donald W. Byo, and hornist Dr. Grover Pitman.

The program consists of Quintet, Op. 71, by Ludwig van Beethoven, which has three movements, an adagio/allegro, a menuet, and a rondo; Sechs Bagatellen, by the late György Ligeti, who lived in Cleveland until his death in 2006; Aries Tropicales, by living composer Paquito D'Rivera, has a Latin American flair complete with rhythms which recall the tango and other dances; and Maple Leaf Rag by Scott Joplin.
