Westminster adjunct music professors William Ambert, Kris Harper, and Kathryn Miller are spreading the sounds of Christmas throughout the community this holiday season.
Ambert, adjunct voice faculty, will be the featured soloist with the Ashtabula Symphony in a program Saturday, Dec. 16, at 8 p.m., which will include excerpts from "Messiah" and "Panis Angelicus" and will be held at Lakeside High School. Ambert also served as soloist at St. Colombia Cathedral in Youngstown, Ohio, for the annual presentation of "Lessons and Carols" Dec. 3.
Harper, adjunct voice faculty and director of women's chorus and women's chamber singers, is the director of a growing community chorus, Seraphim. Harper and Seraphim will present "Christmas in the City" Saturday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. at Mary, Mother of Hope Parish in New Castle. Seraphim will also perform at Boardman United Methodist Church Sunday, Dec. 10, at 3 p.m. Kathryn Miller will be the accompanist for both events. Harper was also the baritone soloist for New Castle Music Club Chorus's annual presentation of "Messiah" at Mary, Mother of Hope Parish Nov. 26.
Miller, college organist, piano teacher, vocal coach, and staff accompanist, directed the chancel choir of Boardman United Methodist Church in "Christmas Cantata-The Incarnation" by K. Lee Scott Dec. 3. Miller was joined by guest director Dr. Robin Lind of Westminster College. That same afternoon, Miller served as accompanist for the annual Youngstown Symphony Chorus's Christmas program.
