Three Westminster College senior broadcast communication majors recently presented their capstone projects.

The final component of Liberal Studies at Westminster is a senior capstone course, which is at least a four-semester-hour course within the major designed to provide an opportunity for students to evaluate and assess the strengths and limitations of their major field.

Christopher Zinkham is a son of David and Margaret Zinkham, Grove City, and is a graduate of Grove City Area High School.

"My presentation was about my decision to go away from broadcast news and head toward advertising," Zinkham said. "I talked about my goals and what made me choose these goals. I also presented the commercial I did for Consumer Credit Counseling Services."

Steven Brink is a son of Robert and Cindy Brink, Coudersport, and a graduate of Coudersport Area High School.

"I took my viewers through my broadcasting journey throughout the past four years," Brink said. "I showed an in-depth look at what goes on behind the scenes and what it takes to be a successful broadcaster."

Kirstan Gides is a daughter of Edward and Joan Gides, Calabasas, Calif., and a graduate of Shaler Area High School.

"I showcased the work I have done in broadcasting over the past three and a half years here at Westminster College," Gides said. "I showed some commercials I created, as well as talked about things I have learned. I also offered some advice to undergraduates who may want to pursue broadcast communications as a degree."
