Dr. Timothy Cuff, Westminster College assistant professor of history, had his article, "Anthropometric History: What is It and What Can It Tell Us About Antebellum Pennsylvania," published in Pennsylvania History: A Journal of Mid-Atlantic Studies.

"The article is a primer on the field of anthropometric history, the use of historical stature data to assess biological well-being among historical populations," Cuff said. "The article also sheds light on height variation across select groups within the Pennsylvania military units which fought the Civil War and how Pennsylvania's military units changed as the war dragged on."

Cuff, who has been with Westminster College since 2000, earned his undergraduate degree from Westminster College, his masters' from Bowling Green State University and the University of Pittsburgh, and his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.
