"Paper, markers, glitter, glue, scissors&everything you need to make a Valentine will be available to make Valentines," said Lauren Perkins, sophomore elementary education major from Evans City and publicity chair for Alpha Phi Omega. "Then we will deliver them to a local veterans hospital."
Alpha Phi Omega is open to all students who complete a minimum requirement of 12 hours of service each term.
"We are growing every year at Westminster," continued Perkins. "We have 15 potential new members this year."
Other service projects continue throughout the year. Alpha Phi Omega sponsor a "Quadathon" and "Canoe-a-Thon" each year to earn money for charities, and help at the Bair Foundation with the annual children's Christmas party.
