Posted on Wednesday, February 6, 2002

Chris Heilmann, president of Merrill Lynch Trust Co., will speak at Westminster College Thursday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

Heilmann, a 1972 Westminster College graduate and Board of Trustee member, will present "A First Hand Perspective of September 11 on Wall Street."

"My office was on the 38th floor of the South Tower of the World Financial Center, Merrill Lynch's headquarters," said Heilmann.  "The South Tower was connected to one of the World Trade Centers before Sept. 11.

"I want to share the impact of this tragedy from both a personal and business/professional perspective, as well as major trends in our society and how they have been impacted," continued Heilmann.

The event, sponsored by the Economics and Business Department, is part of Westminster's continuing sesquicentennial celebration, and is free and open to the public.
