"You Can't Take It With You is a comedy about the irresistible, impulsive Sycamores written by the late George Kaufman and Moss Hart," said Brad Dell, senior theatre major from Greensburg and director. "The Sycamores have to be seen to be believed."
The play features senior Ryan Saeler as the commemorative, snake-collecting, dart-throwing grandpa; senior Craig Gottschalk as his son-in-law Paul, who manufactures fireworks in his basement with Mr. DePinna, played by freshman Richard Marmura.
Other members of the cast include: psychology professor Dr. Sandra Webster; seniors Omadee Curry, Tyler Domske, Scott Hauser, Scott Hoffman, Lisa Raidel, Janis Slyves and William Weniger; juniors Jason Cooper and Katrina Kayden; sophomores Andrew Huston, Ashleigh Oram, Diana Rodenhausen, and Nathan Zuzack; and first-year students Bob Allen and Tom Oyer.
Designing the set is Paul Kimpel, professor of theatre at Westminster College. Junior Katrina Kayden is the lighting director, senior Margaret Tommarello is the technical director, and freshman Kauleen Cloutier is the stage manager.
The event is open to the public. For ticket information, contact the box office at (724) 946-7241 between Feb. 25 and March 1, noon - 2 p.m.
