Mardi Gras is coming to Westminster College Friday, Feb. 14, from 6-8 p.m. in Orr Lobby. Following the carnival the band "Allister" will perform in Orr Auditorium with opening act "December Sun."
The event includes a variety of free entertainment such as mask decorating, with prizes for different age groups, face art, and a magician. There will also be carnival booth games including, bean bag toss, sand art, fish bowl game, plinko and many more.
Handing our free beaded necklaces will be the royal king and queen: Jon Libert, a junior speech communications major from McDonald, and Sandra Edmiston, a sophomore history major from New Wilmington.
The Student Alumni Association and the Campus Programming Committee sponsor the event, with major funding from the Student Government Association.
Mardi Gras admission is free, and is geared toward families with children. Admission to the 8:30 p.m. adult concert is free for those with Westminster identification, and $10 for everyone else.
