Brian Barrett, a Westminster College music performance major from Meadville, will perform his senior recital Sunday, Feb. 23, at 3 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.
The program includes operatic arias, as well as art songs sung in English, German, Italian, French, and Russian, written by Mozart, Verdi, Schumann, Debussy, Handel, and Rachmaninov. The recital also features the premier performance of "Psalm 31" written by Lois Hopkins, part-time music instructor at Westminster College. Dr. Nancy DeSalvo, assistant professor of music at Westminster College, will accompany the performance.
Barrett is a son of Bruce and Gayle Barrett, 601 Chestnut St., Meadville, and a graduate of Meadville Area High School.
