From the rock stomp of “Bad Moon Rising” to the rebellious fire of “Fortunate Son,” Commotion will deliver Creedence Clearwater Revival’s legendary hits with explosive energy and spot-on authenticity at Westminster College’s final Celebrity Series concert of 2025-2026 season at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 25, in Orr Auditorium.

Commotion will give the audience a memorable musical adventure, performing CCR’s iconic hits and timeless sounds of the late ’60s and early ’70s. Whether you’re a lifelong CCR fan or simply love unforgettable rock ‘n’ roll, Commotion guarantees a night of high-octane nostalgia, world-class musicianship and non-stop crowd-pleasing excitement.

Commotion distinguishes itself through attention to detail and dedication to replicating the CCR sound authentically. Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Steve McLain who channels the unmistakable spirit of John Fogerty, along with Jimmy Ryan, the band doesn’t just play CCR, they ignite it.

McLain's soul-stirring vocals and Ryan's captivating guitar solos bring the band to life with remarkable accuracy. As a platinum-certified artist and a Lifetime Achievement Award inductee in the Iowa Rock & Roll Music Association Hall of Fame, Ryan has a rich history of collaborating with music legends, including Carly Simon, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Mick Jagger, Cat Stevens, James Taylor, Rod Stewart and Jim Croce, among others.

McLain’s vocal prowess rivals John Fogerty through his husky timbre, emotive delivery and uncanny ability to recreate Fogerty’s raw energy.  McLain has spent over 20 years wowing fans with his emotionally charged vocals and an unparalleled mastery of reading audiences and delivering exactly what brings them to their feet. Add in a dynamic multi-media experience, and every show becomes a full-throttle celebration that keeps audiences locked in and wanting more.

Throughout their career, CCR was known for their infectious beats. Commotion drummer Mark Ellis and bassist George Foster deliver that trademark sound with unrivaled intensity.

Commotion will perform CCR’s greatest hits, including “Green River," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" and top 10 hit, "Bad Moon Rising." For ticket information call Georgene Gib in the box office at 724-946-7354 or order online at www.westminstrer.edu/celebrity
