During the fall semester, Westminster College students from the Westminster Entrepreneurship Center (WEC) partnered with X32 Temple Canine Training to develop a digital platform aimed at expanding the company’s social media presence and increasing engagement.
Under the direction of Eric Gaber, Westminster College Entrepreneur in Residence and WEC director, the student team worked closely with X32 Temple Canine Training, a New Wilmington, Pa.-based business specializing in service dog and police canine training. The platform was designed to provide fresh insight into current media trends while supporting the company’s growth.
The team included senior individual interdisciplinary major Alexa Young of Pittsburgh; junior psychology major Giulianna Russell of Kinston, N.C.; sophomore biology major Gianna DiCerbo of Ellwood City, Pa.; sophomore finance and accounting major Ian Temple of Hermitage, Pa.; and first-year neuroscience major Sarah Jones of Henrico, Va. Students contributed creative ideas while gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and digital strategy.
X32 Temple Canine Training owner Lee Temple specializes in training service dogs for people with disabilities as well as police canines.
Temple expressed appreciation for the students’ work and commitment.
“My philosophy has always been to work with intention and purpose to achieve results, and I am grateful to see that same level of dedication reflected in Eric Gaber and his students,” Temple said.
The Westminster Entrepreneurship Center provides Westminster College students with experiential learning opportunities focused on innovation, concept creation and business ownership strategies.
