Westminster College has been named one of the nation’s Top 100 liberal arts colleges by Washington Monthly in its 2025 College Guide and Rankings.
Westminster ranked 63rd overall—a 16-spot jump from last year—and is one of only two liberal arts colleges in Western Pennsylvania to earn a Top 100 placement. The rankings measure colleges on their “contributions to the public good,” focusing on social mobility, research and service.
In the service category, Westminster stood out with a No. 14 ranking among 190 national liberal arts colleges and 57th among 1,421 institutions nationwide for preparing students for careers in socially valuable fields such as health, education and social work.
Washington Monthly also named Westminster a “Best Bang for the Buck College” in the Northeast, recognizing the College’s commitment to making higher education affordable and attainable for students of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
Washington Monthly has been releasing its annual College Guide and Rankings since 2005.
