Three Westminster College students will compete in “New Wilmington’s Got Talent,” a competition featuring a variety of performances by people of all ages. The show will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at the New Wilmington Borough Park Amphitheater.

Westminster College student performers include:
Morgan Litz, a first-year music education major, from Wexford, Pa.
Olivia Ruffner, a first-year music education major, from Latrobe, Pa.
Michael Tokar, a junior business administration major from New Wilmington, Pa.

The event is modeled after the hit TV show “America’s Got Talent” with local celebrity judges evaluating the performances. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top contestants with a grand prize of $250. The audience will also be able to cast their vote for the “Fan Favorite” award.

“New Wilmington’s Got Talent” is free and open to the public and is being held in conjunction with the New Wilmington Rotary Club's annual chicken barbeque dinner from 4 to 7 p.m., also at the Borough Park. Call 724-651-4956 to purchase a dinner ticket.

The talent show is sponsored by the New Wilmington Borough Amphitheater Committee and organized by the Youth Unplugged Committee of local teens.
