Westminster College School of Communication Lecturer Bradley Weaver presented at the annual Broadcast Education Association Convention held virtually on Thursday, April 15, and offered a look at how communication students continued developing quality productions during the pandemic.

Weaver, who also serves as the student media adviser, presented “Successful Student Productions Despite the Pandemic” as part of the perennial Small College Production Showcase panel. He shared content Westminster students produced in their courses over the past year for Titan Radio, WCN Cable Network and the student newspaper The Holcad.

The presentation included the backstory of how staff and faculty in the School of Communication followed health and safety protocols during the pandemic, allowing for adapted sports broadcasts, television programs and production of online multimedia content.

Weaver, who has been with Westminster since 2000, earned an undergraduate degree from Alderson-Broaddus College and master’s degree from the University of Kansas.
