Build professional relationships during Westminster’s National Networking Day events

The Westminster College Office of Alumni Engagement and the Professional Development Center will celebrate National Networking Day with two days of virtual events on Wednesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 22.

Westminster alumni, students, parents and friends can choose from 14 virtual events designed to broaden their social and professional networks. Participants can choose sessions based on geographical region or class year, while a special leadership session will also be offered.

“What I like best about National Networking Day is celebrating the accomplishments of our alumni, facilitating countless opportunities with current students and providing insight based off of previous and current experiences,” said Carl Carpenter, a 2018 alumnus and host of the 2010-2020 decade session. “There are so many incredible people I’ve met through networking. Our Westminster alumni community is so very strong and there’s always something valuable to take away.”

Networking sessions based on graduation decade include:

•    Alumni from 1960s: 4 p.m. Thursday, April 22. Hosted by Westminster College Trustee Emeritus Wayne Miller ’61 and his wife Rhudi Forrest Miller ’62.
•    Alumni from the 1970s: 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 21. Hosted by Bill Eavenson ’73.
•    Alumni from 1980s: 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 21. Hosted by Dar Huey ’74 and Tracy Stuck ’88.
•    Alumni from 1990s: 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 21. Hosted by Nadine MacLeod Valco ’94 and Carrie Stickel ’99.
•    Alumni from 2000s: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 21. Hosted by Lindsey Braem ’02.
•    Alumni from 2010-2020: 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 21. Hosted by Carl Carpenter ’18.

•    Ohio: 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 22. Hosted by Westminster College Trustee Ralph Dise ’74 and Amy Schroder Winner ’06.
•    New England: 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 22
•    Greater Atlantic/East Coast: 7 p.m. Thursday, April 22. Hosted by Westminster College Trustee Ben Nelson ’06.
•    Eastern Corridor/Washington, D.C.: 7 p.m. Thursday, April 22. Hosted by Christie Grewe Nelson ’06 and Ann Marie Bayma ’15.
•    West Coast: 8 p.m. EST (5 p.m. PST), Thursday, April 22. Hosted by Bryan Bischof ’08 and Kristin Mezmar Kaiser ’86.

A special session for those in leadership, supervisory or administrative roles will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 22, and will be hosted by Lindsey Braem ’02 and Ashley Williams Patton ’05.

All sessions are free and will be held via Zoom. A link will be provided via email after registration.
