Brandon Williams
Senior Biochemistry Major
Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania

Senior biochemistry major Brandon Williams came to Westminster four years ago from his home in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania. When he joined the Honors Program during his sophomore year, he already knew most of the upperclass Honors students. His role as a resident assistant also introduced him to some of the incoming first-years. Through the processes of orientation and mentoring, he was able to bond with Honors students outside of his major and year. To describe his experience in the Honors Program, Brandon turns to a favorite quote: “He who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool.” Brandon appreciates how the Honors Program offers rich learning experiences that open his eyes to disciplines outside of his main course of study. He is also grateful for the research opportunities provided by the Honors Program at Westminster and says that the Honors research process has been a huge benefit to his preparation for medical school.
