The Westminster College Planetarium plans its annual holiday event Nov. 30, Dec. 1-2 and 7-9 in Hoyt Science Resources Center room 116.
Susan J. Grandy, a 1985 Westminster graduate, was recognized by Westminster College with a certificate of appreciation and gratitude for her contributions in revitalizing the College's Cultural Collection and rehabilitating its Egyptian mummy.
"During her undergraduate years at Westminster, Ms. Grandy organized a fund raising campaign to restore and display the College's Egyptian mummy," said Dr. Samuel Farmerie, curator of cultural artifacts and professor of education emeritus at Westminster College. "Through her efforts, the mummy was restored, a display case was acquired, and a suit of 18th century Japanese armor was also restored.
Westminster College will host the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association conference Nov. 2- 4.
More than 325 students are expected to earn degrees Saturday, May 19, at Westminster College's 153rd commencement ceremonies. A baccalaureate service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Orr Auditorium with commencement at 2:30 p.m. on the Senior Terrace of Old Main.
Westminster College's "Get Real!" life preparation series continues Thursday, Feb. 21, with "Smart Investing for Beginners" presented by David Smith, Westminster College assistant professor of accounting.
Dr. Richard H. Dorman will be inaugurated as the 14th president of Westminster College Saturday, Oct. 25, at 10 a.m. in Orr Auditorium. The public is invited to attend.

Westminster College was selected as a host campus for the 2010-2011 Scholars in Service to Pennsylvania Program.
The Westminster College Women's Chamber Ensemble, Women's Chorus, and Men's Chorus will present their fall concert Friday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public.
Westminster College will host "Invisible Children: Frontline Tour" Thursday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Witherspoon Lakeview Room of the McKelvey Campus Center. The program is free and open to the public.
