Dr. Sandra Webster, Westminster professor of psychology and faculty development officer, presented "Creating and Maintaining a Classroom Culture of Respect" at the Professional Organization of Developers national conference in Pittsburgh, Oct. 25-28.

Nicholas Mizenko, a Westminster College junior biochemistry major, was runner-up for the 2008 M.J. Collins Award for Outstanding Young Innovator in Microwave Chemistry. The presentation was made at the fall national meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) Aug. 19 in Philadelphia.

Two Westminster College students from the studio of Kathryn Miller, Westminster College organist, were invited to perform in an organ recital March 29 at 3 p.m. in Heinz Chapel at the University of Pittsburgh. The recital is free and open to the public.

Dr. Timothy Cuff, Westminster College associate professor of history, presented a paper at the annual meeting of the Social Science History Association Nov. 12-15 in Long Beach, Calif.

Westminster College's Celebrity Series opens its 2014-2015 season with perennial classic rock favorite America Saturday, Oct. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is sponsored by the Springfield Restaurant Group.
