Chapel Speaker to Observe John Calvin's 500th Birthday
Westminster College will host Dr. Donald McKim at Vesper worship service Sunday, March 29, at 7 p.m., and as Chapel speaker Monday, March 30, at 11:40 a.m. in observance of John Calvin's 500th birthday. Both services will be in Wallace Memorial Chapel and are open to the public.
College to Present Annual Christmas Vespers Dec. 13
Westminster College will continue a long-standing tradition with the presentation of "Telling the Story, Lessons and Carols" at Christmas Vespers Sunday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The public is invited to attend.
Planetarium to Present "Dawn of the Space Age"
"Dawn of the Space Age" will be presented over several dates in the coming weeks in the Westminster College Planetarium, room 116 of the Hoyt Science Resources Center.
Religion Professor Lectured at Harvard
Dr. Bryan Rennie, Westminster College Vira I. Heinz professor in religion, gave an invited lecture on Mircea Eliade April 8 at Harvard University's Center for Government and International Studies.
French Professor's Article Published
An article written by Dr. Leslie Kealhofer, Westminster College visiting assistant professor of French, was published in a recent issue of Studies in French Cinema.
Westminster College Political Science Professor to Present Henderson Lecture Oct. 3
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Dr. James Rhoads, Westminster College professor of political science, will present the 2012-2013 Henderson Lecture Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Witherspoon Maple Room of the McKelvey Campus Center. The event is free to the public.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Seven Westminster College senior mathematics majors presented their capstone research posters April 29 in the Carlson Atrium of the McKelvey Campus Center.
College to Host Guest Musicians in Concert Sept. 4
The Westminster College Department of Music will host guest musicians Nicole Paglialonga, violin, and Phillip Paglialonga, clarinet, in concert Thursday, Sept. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The program is free and open to the public.
Westminster College Elementary Education Major Receives Scholarship
Erin McCullough, a senior elementary education major at Westminster College, recently received the Camille Mauclair/Dusquene Club Employees, American Funds Scholarship.
This $5,000 scholarship, funded by The Pittsburgh Foundation, was applied to her tuition for the 2004-2005 academic year.
"We are grateful to the Camille Mauclair/Dusquesne Club Employees Fund, American Funds Scholarship, and The Pittsburgh Foundation for their support of bright, motivated students like Ms.McCullough, who represent the future of our region," said Gloria Cagigas, vice president for institutional advancement at Westminster.
In 2003, The Pittsburgh Foundation, the 15th largest community foundation in the nation, awarded more than $24 million in grants to charitable organizations. Established in 1945, The Pittsburgh Foundation is comprised of more than 960 funds established by organizations and individual donors. These funds range from $10,000 to more than $32 million, and have a combined market value of approximately $537 million.
McCullough is a daughter of Dean and Cindy Hollis, Pittsburgh, and a graduate of Baldwin High School.
