The Foster Art Gallery presents an exhibition of work by artist Morgan Bukovec. A series of embroidered guest checks, “are you on the menu”, is a result of the past decade of Bukovec's work in the service industry. Viewers are asked to contribute to the installation through "share your story", where blank guest checks are available for their participation.
Morgan Bukovec (b. 1996) is a mixed media artist, community organizer, and collector of things from Cleveland, Ohio. In 2018, she was awarded bachelors degrees in both Fine Arts and Arts Education from the University of Dayton and since has worked with several community art spaces nationally and internationally, providing art engagement and workshops.
Bukovec is interested in how art builds empathy through personal storytelling, which inspires her interdisciplinary art practice. Bukovec works with found objects across mediums including collage, textiles, installation, and ceramics, focusing on the themes of identity, storytelling, and fleeting moments and objects across time. She currently lives nomadically and actively runs her free art community: Lava Lamp Lounge, which offers space for creatives to connect and support each other online.
This exhibition is free and open to the public.

The 2025 Ken and Nancy Long Chemistry Lecture will be presented by Dr. Robert LeSeur, Associate Professor of Chemistry at SUNY Brockport. This lecture is entitled: Creativity on the Canal: the early history of Brockport's first makerspace.
Abstract: In this talk, I’ll share the story behind It Begins in Brockport (IBiB), a community makerspace founded in 2023 in the village of Brockport. Born from the local university's attempt to build a fab lab and my passion for digital fabrication, IBiB has grown into a vibrant hub for creativity, STEM education, and intergenerational learning. I’ll discuss how the space was built from mothballed equipment, how it serves the community through outreach and events, and why access to creative, technical spaces is essential for lifelong learning in every community. Importantly, I will be bringing toys.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information contact Dr. Pete Smith at smithpm@westminster.edu.

Finally, Scottish fiddle soloist, Dr. Melinda Crawford Perttu will be featured in "Largs," a work for symphonic orchestra and Scottish fiddle which commemorates the Battle of Largs fought between Scottish and Viking forces in 1263.

The Office of Faith and Spirituality presents a Christmas Worship Service, a cherished campus tradition that celebrates the Advent season through scripture, music, prayer and reflection. This year’s service will feature the message “Can It Be?” delivered by the Rev. James R. Mohr II, chaplain and director of church relations. Scripture readings will be offered by senior members of the Class of 2026.
The service will include musical performances by the Westminster College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, both under the direction of Dr. Ryan Keeling, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities; the Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Melinda Crawford Perttu, professor of music; and the Market Street Brass Quintet under the direction of Dr. JaKobe Henry, assistant professor of music.
Following the service, guests are invited to enjoy a punch and cookies reception in the Orr Lobby.
The event is free and open to the public. Those unable to attend in person may view the service live at www.wcnlive.com. The Westminster Cable Network (WCN) will rebroadcast Westminster’s Christmas Worship Service on multiple occasions over the holidays.
