A Westminster College senior, with the help of the Drinko Center for Undergraduate Research, was able to fund a self-created short film titled “Imagine a Quest.”

As a broadcasting and film interdisciplinary major, Constantine Kallaur of Bethel Park, Pa., was able to take skills from the classroom and apply them to real life.

Kallaur’s film focuses on two brothers and their imaginary adventures with friends—based on an idea that spending time with loved ones is life’s greatest treasure.

With the help of professors, alumni and fellow students, Kallaur’s quest to create a short film brought valuable skills to take into professional endeavors.

“This was a valuable experience, but without the Drinko Center, I would not have been able to create a film of this scale,” said Kallaur. “The Drinko grant served as my film’s budget. There were several aspects of production that cost a bit of money like equipment and locations.”

After graduation this spring, Kallaur plans to use the filmmaking and production skills he developed at Westminster in his future career.
