Analyst Program Speaker Series to host CEO of Praxis Holding Company and InCity Farms

Glenn Ford, CEO of Praxis Holding Company and InCity Farms, will discuss global business topics during the Westminster College Analyst Program Speaker Series at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, via Zoom. 

Ford, who has experience in both the agricultural and food industries, will talk about agriculture, entrepreneurship, food and beverage industries, supply chain issues and sustainability. Ford has developed around $250 million of indoor aquaponic farms—a system of growing plants in water for use in cultivating aquatic organisms.  

Ford previously served as vice president of new concept development at Pepsi, vice president of the industrial division at American Hospital Supply and investment banking roles at Indiana National Bank. Ford earned his undergraduate degree in economics and management from Eastern Illinois University and his M.B.A. from Northwestern University. 

The Analyst Program Speaker Series hosts leaders from industry, public service and academia for virtual discussions about engaging topics aligned with student case studies offered by the Analyst Program. Past speakers include Deborah Platt Majoras, retired chief legal officer for Procter & Gamble and former chair of the Federal Trade Commission, John Miles, CEO of Steelite International and Christine Todd Whitman, former governor of New Jersey. 

Ben Nelson ’06, senior vice president and global group credit officer for ESG at Moody’s Investors Service and member of the Westminster College Board of Trustees, will facilitate the discussion following Ford’s presentation.  

Prior to the discussion, students participating in the event will develop questions with guidance from Phil Petraglia ’83, retired chief financial officer of Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse and senior adviser to the Analyst Program, and Brian Petrus ’10, assistant professor of business at Westminster.
