Westminster College’s symphony orchestra spring concert May 6

The Westminster College Symphony Orchestra will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 6 in Will W. Orr Auditorium on Westminster’s campus.

The orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Melinda H. Crawford Perttu, associate professor of music, will perform Rimsky Korsakov’s Suite from “Tsar Saltan,” Reinhold Glière’s Russian Sailor’s Dance and Maurice Ravel’s Pavane pour un infante défunte.

The orchestra will also perform Cécile Chaminade’s Flute Concertino featuring flutist Madaline Matejka, a senior music education major from Aliquippa, Pa.

The concert is free and open to the public. It will also be live-streamed at https://youtu.be/YJb-1b3qEEo.
