The brothers of Westminster’s Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity will host a “Movember” Music Festival to raise awareness about men’s health from 9 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Anderson Amphitheater.

Proceeds from the event, as well as a campus-wide mustache sale throughout the month of November, will benefit Movember, an international organization committed to raising funds for and awareness about men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health and suicide prevention.

The Movember Music Festival will feature  junior Alpha Sigma Phi brother Mike “Philly” Roman as DJ, while sophomore Jordan “J4ore” Fore will make his debut performing several original rap songs.

“We are excited to showcase some of Westminster’s very own musical talent and hope to see everyone there to benefit a worthy cause—men’s health,” says Bradley Green, fraternity philanthropy chair.

Tickets will be available the week of Nov. 8 for $3, while tickets at the door will be $5.  Because Movember also encourages the growth of mustaches during the month of November, fraternity brothers are also selling fake mustaches during the lunch hour Nov. 1 through 5 and Nov. 29 and 30 at the TUB in McKelvey Campus Center.
