The Westminster College Brass and Woodwind Quintets will perform a concert Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

"We are extremely fortunate to have such wonderful performance faculty. All of our teachers are active performers in the Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Youngstown, and local areas," said R. Tad Greig, director of bands at Westminster College. "Along with providing chamber music for the college and community, these recitals also give prospective students an opportunity to actually see and hear the majority of our instrumental faculty."

The program includes music by Bach, Ewald, Dahl, Beethoven, Haydn, Grainger, and more.

The Westminster Faculty Brass Quintet include: Paul Gerlach, trumpet; Andrew Erb, trumpet; Rob Cole, horn; Greig, trombone; and Robert Antonucci, tuba.

The Westminster Faculty Quintet include: Kathleen Schott, flute; Shawn Reynolds, oboe; Louis Colella, clarinet; Dr. Grover Pitman, horn; and Ann Gillis, bassoon.

The faculty quintets were instituted by Department of Music Chair Dr. Grover Pitman to provide musical models for the Westminster music students, and for recruitment for the instrumental musical program.

The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Greig at (724) 946-7279 or e-mail greigrt@westminster.edu.
