More than 300 students are expected to earn degrees Saturday, May 19, at Westminster College's 158th commencement ceremonies. A baccalaureate service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Orr Auditorium with commencement at 2:30 p.m. on the Senior Terrace of Old Main.

Dr. Karen Resendes, Westminster College assistant professor of biology, and senior biology majors Kaci Batzel and Ashley Grenet presented research at the annual meeting of the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) April 21-24 in San Diego.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College 440-yard/400-meter record had resided in Joe Stewart's family for a century. Stewart, a 1963 Westminster graduate, held the record for 50 years and his grandfather Linus, 1905 graduate, held it for nearly another half century.

Marietta, Ohio - Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Baseball Champion Westminster College (28-16) lost, 13-7, to St. John Fisher (30-10) in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Mideast Regionals on Wednesday. The tournament is hosted by Marietta College. The Titans, the No. 5 seed, will play the loser of game two consisting of the No. 1-seeded Marietta and No. 8-seeded La Roche, while the No. 4 Cardinals will play the winner of the same game.
