Westminster Concert Choir & Chamber Singers in Concert Nov. 23

The Westminster Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will perform a concert Sunday, Nov. 23, at 3 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

The program for "We'll Shout and Give Him Glory" is under the direction of Dr. Robin Lind, director of choral activities at Westminster College, and features Ashley Rexrode, a junior music education major from Farmington, as accompanist for the Chamber Singers, and Thomas Oyer, a junior sociology major from Dalton, Ohio, as accompanist for the Concert Choir.

The afternoon begins with the Chamber Singers performing "Bourree," "Neujahrslied," and "Der Gluckliche." The Concert Choir continues the performance with "O, the Height of God," "Alleuluia," "O Nata Lux," and "Salvation is Created," which will be conducted by Sean Taylor, a senior music education major from Brookville.

The second half of the program begins with the Chamber Singers performing "As Long Ago," "Stand By Me," and "Up the Ladder to the Roof." The Concert Choir finishes the show with "Not Unto Us, O Lord," "This I Say," with a solo by soprano Lauren Garcia, a junior Spanish major from Aliquippa, "How Firm a Foundation," and "We'll Shout and Give Him Glory," with Jaimee Davis, a sophomore music performance major from Warren, Ohio, joining Oyer as accompanist.
