Opera Westminster to Present Spring Concert, April 11

Opera Westminster will present “Flirtatious, Frustrating and Fatal Attractions” at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 11 in Orr Auditorium.  The program is free and open to the public.

Westminster students will perform scenes from The Tales of Hoffmann, Norma, Carmen, Das Land des Lachelns, Cosi fan tutte, II Barbiere di Siviglia, Martha, Zigeunerliebe, L’Eliser d’Amore, The Merry Widow, and Giulio Cesare.

The event is coordinated by stage director Dr. Anne Hagan Bentz, Westminster associate professor of music. The performance will be conducted by Mihai Valcu, adjunct music faculty. Westminster adjunct music faculty Marie Libal-Smith is pianist and an orchestra of Westminster faculty, students, and guest musicians will provide instrumental support.
