The Westminster Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon, an international music honor organization, will sponsored a concerto and aria competition Monday, Feb. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.

All students enrolled in music lessons at Westminster College are eligible to compete, but they must register by Feb. 1.  One winner will be chosen from the vocal applicants and one from the instrumental applicants.  The winners will be invited to perform at the next Westminster College Orchestra concert in March.

"We have 10 contestants so far, but there is still time to register," said  Anna Long, a junior music education major from Uniontown and secretary of Mu Phi Epsilon.  "The entire community is welcome and encouraged to attend the competition."

The event is free and open to the public.
