Westminster College will host the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Regional Leadership Conference Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Almost 300 high school students from Commodore Perry, Lawrence County Vo-Tech, Laurel, Mohawk, Neshannock, Oil City, West Middlesex, and Wilmington School districts are expected to attend.

The conference features two speakers.  Senior Regional Director Diane McClune from the Western Pennsylvania American Heart Association will talk about what the association does and will give the students tips on staying heart healthy.  Joe Seminara, owner of Pizza Joes, will speak about how he started his business and his experiences as an entrepreneur.

In addition to a business meeting, where new regional officers will be elected, the students will also take part in various business competitions.

"Students who place high enough at this event will be eligible to compete at the Pennsylvania FBLA Leadership Conference in Hershey," said Marsha Karidis, coordinator of this event and one of the advisors for the Mohawk FBLA chapter, along with Kathy Eichenlaub and Margie Shiderly.
